Course Description
This practical programme is designed for engagement managers within an organisation. Participants will gain knowledge and skills to increase their competence and confidence in managing people, performance, projects and stakeholders.
Day one will explore and define the role of the engagement manager and associated responsibilities. Participants will then identify and map the key stakeholders. Participants will use the stakeholder map identifying areas for improvement within stakeholder management and relationships. In the afternoon participants will explore the flexible management model and apply structured feedback and coaching techniques.
Day two will start with looking at best practice in managing people and performance. Participants will then explore the basic understanding of human behaviour including motivation and psychology (why people behave the way they do). Participants will look at goal setting, clarity and holding people accountable for results. Day two will finish with a workshop on how to have and facilitate potentially difficult conversations. The difficult situations will be defined prior to the workshop through consultation and pre-work.
