Course Description

WRITING AND PRESENTING SUCCESSFUL SPEECHES

We all know the waves of nerves that flutter around when we’re called on to speak for ourselves or our organisation in public.

It makes us wonder how others carry off this duty with apparent ease and calmness.

The answer lies in skill and preparedness because Public Speaking is an ability we can acquire for ourselves, whether as speakers or writing for others. This workshop is designed to meet that very need and to enhance your speech writing and presenting skills.

This course is a practical one-day seminar on the strategy and techniques required to write speeches successfully for delivery by yourself or others.

Participants are given a clear understanding of the intellectual and psychological processes involved in drafting a speech that is informative and entertaining and which will hold an audience’s attention to the end.

As part of the course you will undergo a practical session where you will have the chance to write and present speeches for yourself and others. Speech night nerves are natural, even for seasoned performers, but they can be calmed with the confidence that comes from the skill set and insight this seminar delivers.
